So remember how much I fell head over heels in love with the Aidan Gray Seahorse Wall Art?
Seahorse Wall Art: $306
Well….here’s my version I finished last night. Costing me a whopping $8.00 in printer ink to make.
I already had the MDF Planked Board that I cut to size. Then using an editing program on my computer, I made the seahorse graphic and filled it in with the names of beaches my family and I have vacationed at, along with that great saying, “Follow the River and You Will Find the Sea.”
I painted the board in a weathered gray and then dry brushed it in cream. Then I cut out my seahorse and Mod Podged him to the board. This morning I hung him up and love how he has become the focal point of my dining room!
I found the Driftwood Runner at T.J. Maxx last week. I had been wanting one from Crate and Barrel, but they were so expensive. I paid $15 for the T.J. Maxx version.
Happy Monday!!!

Hi!
My neighbor across the street introduced me to your blog, such neat stuff. Which TJMaxx did you find the driftwood? I sucked it up and bought the one from Crate & Barrel a few months back and want another, but don't want to pay that much. I also live in Frisco, love your style!
Nikki
Hi Nikki,
Thanks for following! I actually snagged the last one at the one by Stonebriar. At least I think it was the last one but didn't see anymore. Aren't they great?!?
Awesome, Kristen!
You really have some awesome things and projects on your blog. And I'm such a fan of type and this wall art of yours, really takes the prize. I absolutely adore it.
SO MUCH inspiration...thank you
Annika
I am so in love with the seahorse!! Great project and I also love the driftwood.
Hi, I'm new to your blog. Like you I fell in love his the Sea Horse, but didn't want to spend the cash to buy it. I'm not to skilled with using the computer and editing programs. Which one did you use and it looks a good size. How did you print it out?
Thanks
Erin

I am not too technical savvy. Where do you get the program for the computer? Is there any way I could pay you to do the printing for me? I live and work in the DFW area.

I would also like to know how you made the graphic for the seahorse. Would you please email me @ cinnamonchill@yahoo.com.
Thanks, Caryn
Please tell me how you printed the large graphic of the seahorse. I've got to make one.
I LOVE it!
thanks, Caryn
I'm with everyone else - would love to know what program you used to do the seahorse graphic!!!! Please share!!!
Sorry this has taken me so long to reply to. After having my son this year, I haven't checked my blog much! I actually used to have an old plotter printer, you know the kind you can use for blueprints? That is how I printed the graphic and I used an old version of corel draw to design it. I no longer have either of these but I still have the artwork hanging in my kitchen!
